Hello All - Last week our editor/writer had a serious fall, ending up in the hospital. Excellent emergency treatment showed that there was no concussion, but rest and restoration is prescribed for the next week or two. He/we will be back in action soon. One issue that can’t wait is this invitation to join us for a "People's Rally" in Hastings on Saturday, January 18th, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The rally is a project of the "Peoples March," which is sponsoring broad-based rallies and marches in many towns and cities nationwide. The rally in Hastings will be at the VFW Plaza on Warburton Ave (at Spring St.) It will feature speeches and some music, and we will have an "open mic." Time permitting, we hope to hear from everyone. If you plan to attend please register here. Our goal, and the goal of the People's March, is to display our resistance to fascism and autocracy that we see embodied in the Trump presidency. We want to show the world that we are determined to defend democracy, and that we have the ability to do it.
